Three of our Academies most promising young juniors have recorded commendable results at the Singapore Open Amateur Championship against a strong international field of much older and more experienced competitors.
16yr old Nicholas Smits put in a great performance finishing 7th with rounds of 70, 74, 68, 74 for a 2-under total which was just 5 shots behind winner Rashid Khan of India. The 14yr old pairing of Marc Ong and Edgar Oh not only made the halfway cut but ended their tournament in a tie for 27th place on +12. These three golfers have dominated their age divisions during competition in recent years and have a very bright future ahead!
